The new H. Ralph Schumacher MD / JCR / PANLAR Award for PANLAR Projects aims to stimulate valuable research by a working group that has proven successful in research. The JCR Editorial Board and the PANLAR Board of Directors have chosen to nominate this H. Ralph Schumacher MD / JCR / PANLAR Award for PANLAR Projects in recognition of their many accomplishments and their dedication to improving Rheumatology in Latin America.
Available to trained rheumatologists and established researchers from countries served by PANLAR This grant is designed to support the development of projects that fall within PANLAR's research priorities.
The award favors those researches that take into account the priorities of the region, however due to time constraints this year the research focus is not restricted, for the same reason the evaluation of the project will be carried out in parallel to The award of the PANLAR Prize.
Limited to clinical research.
The project output should culminate in one (or more) manuscript (s), which must be published in JCR.
An explicit acknowledgment of the support received in the corresponding publication (s) should be included.

Curriculum Vitae or brief biography (maximum 4 pages)

The applications will be evaluated by a team of judges from PANLAR countries.
A prize of US $ 15,000 will be awarded to the winner, in order to stimulate clinical research in Latin America.
The winner will be announced on September 19, 2016. The award will be given during the Annual Meeting of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), to be held November 11-16, 2016 in Washington, DC United States.
