We will launch: reumati.co

The website to improve the education of medical students in Latin America

PANLAR created an interactive rheumatology curriculum to improve training for medical students in Latin America. This curriculum is organized in reumati.co, a free-access website for all Spanish-speaking rheumatology students. The curriculum is based on clinical cases, questions and answers. These techniques have proven to stimulate a more active learning process.

PANLAR received an ILAR grant to create this project. The curriculum is based on a project called Rheum2Learn, by the American College of Rheumatology, and belongs to the medical training found in #PanlarEdu. The curriculum was edited and adapted by Latin American rheumatologists to ensure it includes relevant material for our students.

The curriculum covers the following educational topics:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Infectious arthritis
  • Lups
  • Spondyloarthritis
  • Inflammatory myopathy
  • Systemic sclerosis
  • Sjogren syndrome
  • Crystalline diseases
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Systemic vasculitis
  • Pediatric rheumatology
  • Rheumatological manifestations of other diseases
  • Fibromyalgia

We invite you to explore our website reumati.co and share this information with colleagues and students. We hope our innovative curriculum is used to improve rheumatology education and the care of rheumatology patients.
